How Did Scott Campbell, RICP Become a FiveStar Wealth Manager?

That’s something I used to wonder myself, when I was first awarded this designation. Due to the fact that this award accepts no self nominations, I wasn’t entirely sure what prompted the interest of FiveStar. The easiest way for me to explain it is to quote them directly:

“To receive the Five Star Wealth Manager award, a wealth manager must satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria that are associated with wealth managers who provide quality services to their clients. Factors taken into account include assets under management and client retention rate. Candidates also undergo a thorough regulatory and complaint review.”

How Does That Affect Me?

When it comes to your finances, you don’t want to work with someone in poor repute. You need a financial advisor, or better yet a fiduciary advisor, with a strong track record of success. This award shows that I am in financial compliance and I have a track record of client satisfaction. The full title for the award is “FiveStar Wealth Manager: Best in Overall Client Satisfaction.”

Being a Fiduciary Helps Me Be a Better Financial Advisor

Fiduciaries are obligated by law to act in the best interest of their clients, even when it is not favorable for the advisor. That is why I will never make an investment recommendation that goes against your best interests. I believe that being a fiduciary has led me down this path and helped me to be a better advisor for my clients. I am happy to help people be successful, especially in the midst of the massive retirement crisis we are experiencing in our lifetimes.
