The Retirement Instructor FAQ

FAQ

Who Am I Meeting With?

Hi, my name is Scott Campbell, RICP. I am the licensed fiduciary that meets with each of our clients and prospects. Last year, I released my book The Perpetual Retirement Income Machine: Never Worry About Your Income Again. It talks about a tried-and-true method of planning for retirement, using income buckets. I utilize evidence-based investing to structure your assets, specifically to meet your individual needs. As a Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP), I am trained specifically to help you with retirement planning and wealth management. I also teach adult educational classes in the Austin area to help people with their finances.

What Type of Financial Advice Do You Provide?

I am a retirement and wealth management specialist. We talk about the following things:

  • Income planning
  • Cash flow planning
  • Net worth planning
  • Investment management
  • Risk management
  • Risk mitigation
  • Legacy planning
  • Estate planning
  • Roth conversion
  • 401(k) rollovers

But you know that you can talk to me about anything. I am here to help you improve your financial situation and to facilitate stable and diversified growth for your future, without putting your retirement at risk.

I customize the entire retirement planning process based on your specific needs. You take a risk assessment early on, so that we can understand your risk aversion and cater the portfolio accordingly.

Retirement is a hard transition. I’ve helped guide people into retirement for over two decades and it is never easy. Small rules can result in big, unexpected fees; you need to stay on top of taxation and concepts, such as RMDs. Your financial plan isn’t all about the financials and I want you to have the time to enjoy your life in retirement. That’s why it’s so important to have an effective financial plan in place ahead of time.

Why Should I Choose The Retirement Instructor?

I specialize in retirement and have helped hundreds of people to retire with optimal retirement income. I am a fiduciary and always follow the fiduciary standard of care when recommending any investment to my clients. I cannot recommend anything that goes against your best interests and as a fiduciary, this is mandated by law.

I know that a lot of people need help with their financial strategy. They need me to navigate complex investment arenas, rules, laws and strategies. In retirement, most people won’t have time to recover from a large financial setback and a good financial planner won’t leave your future up to chance.

Few people have extra money to waste, or risk on dangerous ventures. That’s why I won’t ever put you in that situation. Most financial planners don’t specialize in retirement planning and they won’t necessarily provide you with advice that favors your personal growth. With a solid written plan, designed with the fiduciary standard of care, you can make your retirement years the best years of your life.
